Due to below-normal rainfall and reduced surface water over the summer rainy season, our region remains in a severe water shortage. The Southwest Florida Water Management District has declared an extreme water shortage for Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties that prohibits all irrigation with drinking water, including micro-irrigation and hand watering, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Additionally, the District has ordered all turf grass renovation, including turf replacement, be postponed through June 30, 2009.

Tampa's once-a-week irrigation and other restrictions remain in effect. Customers are urged to conserve water. Use only minimal amounts of water necessary to sustain existing plant material and check for leaks both inside and outside.  Check the links below for the water restrictions in your area:

If you live in another area, contact your local government for applicable water restrictions.

While irrigation with reclaimed water is not restricted, please use it responsibly.

Look-up Your Lawn Watering Day

*If no lawn watering day is displayed then the address does not reside within Tampa city limits and you should refer to Hillsborough County restrictions for information.

Irrigation days are building number specific, for more information review Tampa's Water Use Restrictions, which apply to all outdoor water uses, not just irrigation.  Any violation of the restrictions can result in a citation of up to $500.  It is your responsibility to know the current restrictions.
