Adopt-a-Park

Volunteers are needed to help keep our parks beautiful. The Adopt-a-Park Program is administered by the Mayor's Beautification Program and provides community groups, corporations, schools and individuals the opportunity to make our parks even more safe and beautiful than they already are. Public Art is woven into the fabric of Tampa’s streets, parks, community centers, and other public spaces.

Commercial Photography and Video

Tampa Parks and Recreation maintains many facilities throughout the city that provides a perfect backdrop for professional photography, film and/or video. Approval, permits and insurance are required. These guidelines are also in place to protect the environment of the parks and the maintenance efforts performed within, not to mention to protect and respect the key function of these parks, which is to provide a safe and peaceful environment for park patrons and natural inhabitants.
 

Dog Parks

You and your dog are welcome in the parks. There are numerous opportunities to enjoy the outdoors with your dog. Just remember to be safe, obey the rules, and respect the park and others.

Facility Rentals

Tampa Parks and Recreation has sites and facilities to accommodate everything from small meetings to major indoor/outdoor events!

Friends of Tampa Recreation

The Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc. provide leadership and support of Tampa's recreation and leisure services.

Golf Courses

The city owns three golf courses that are managed and operated by the Tampa Sports Authority.

Greenways and Trails

Tampa has several beautiful trails and blueways for you and your entire family to explore.

Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation & Conservation

Marinas

The City of Tampa operates two marinas as well as transient slips at the Tampa Convention Center.

Memorial Tree Service

Trees for Tampa is a unique tree dedication program providing a thoughtful way for individuals, to commemorate a special person or event or memorialize a loved one.

Natural Resources

The Natural Resources Team is responsible for our urban forestry programs, habitat preservation, restoration programs, and the application of the city’s Tree and Landscape code.

Park Special Use Permits

A permit is required to use a park for a gathering of a large number of people.

Picnic Shelter Rentals

Tampa Parks and Recreation has picnic sites in neighborhoods around the city that can be reserved for special events.

Richard & Annette Bloch's Cancer Survivors Park

Cancer Survivors Park is located at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and Dale Mabry Highway and is a tribute to those living with cancer.

Tree Removal and Cutting Permit

The City's Construction Services Department is a one-stop shop for all construction permit and inspection needs.   The division reviews construction plans, issues permits, and performs the necessary inspections to ensure building projects are built safely and in compliance with state and local codes and regulations helping to create a vibrant, livable, and safe-built community.

Volunteers

Volunteering in Tampa's parks is a great way f to give back to their communities. You can join community groups, participate in recreational programming, or work in the parks planting and maintaining the city's greenspaces.
