You are viewing a listing of the City of Tampa's News & Public Notices. The default view of the notices is to view all of TampaGov's current (not expired) notices. There are tabs above the notices list that you can click on to view just "Expired" notices, just "Featured" notices (those appearing on the TampaGov homepage or a departmental homepage) or "All" Notices (both Current and Expired).

By default, the news items and information dates are in descending order, starting with the most current date and time. Each one is counted in the total provided to the right of the tabs. Here you can also see the part of the total that you are currently viewing. You may display 10, 25, 50, 100 or 500 news items per page by changing the "Results per Page" value. To move to a new page of news or back to a previous page, click the "next page" or "previous page" buttons that appear above the number of total results (they also appear at the bottom of each page).

If you wish to limit your list to a specific department or area, just check the box next to the department(s) at the top of the screen, and then click the "update listing" button. Your view will be refreshed, showing only those notices that are related to the departments or areas you selected. You can minimize this box by clicking the minimize button at the top right of the screen. When minimizing, the department listing will disappear but the news and notices will still be filtered based on the departments you have already selected.

A description is included with each news item in the list. If there is further information associated with a news item, a "more..." link will appear after the description.

When you are finished viewing an announcement, you may return to the announcement list by clicking the "back" button on your browser, or by clicking on the link provided to the right of the announcement.

You may also find other news items and information by doing one of the following:

1. Browse through all available news items and information by clicking on the "previous page" and "next page" buttons.
2. Look for a specific topic discussed in an announcement by typing in one or more keywords in the "Search Options" box and clicking the "search" button. You can order your search results (before searching) by the date (newest items first) or by relevance (how well the news item matches what you searched for). Based on the keywords that you entered, a listing will be provided of news items and information with the keyword(s) highlighted in the text. If the keyword is not found, you will receive a "no matching records" message. Note that the search will only search for results in the tab that you have selected. So, if you have selected the "Featured" tab and search on the words "Tampa and Police", the search will look for only featured items that match "tampa" and "police". Note that you can apply this search to other tabs ("Current","Featured","Expired" or "All"), by just clicking on the appropriate tab. The search terms you submitted will be saved and applied to the new tab. To return to the listing of all current news items and information, click on the "reset list" button.
3. Look for a specific date by changing the date in the "Search Options" box and clicking "search". If there was not an announcement on the date you requested, a listing of closest dates will be provided.
4. You can also use the date AND keywords to search for news and notices. Enter in a date and keyword(s) to search for notices on or before the date that contain those keywords.
